I have written this piece especially for Masashi Yamamoto with the action of « touch » as the main concept. What does it mean to touch an instrument or some objects ? Are the sounds that we hear always linked to specific actions on those instruments or objects ? The first part of the piece is quite theatrical and the sound matter emerges from a series of actions which are repeated and developed in order to create finally the birth of music. In a second part, music is guided by a spirit of rituals, repeated figures and obsessive gestures in a constant dialog with electronics. In this piece, the computer is properly « staged » and becomes part of the environment of the performer. All sounds are triggered real-time and the gestures linked with computer are fully part of the performance, as an extension of the instrument.
